Just
2 miles south of The McKinley Village Lodge is Jeff King's Husky
Homestead, he's won the Iditarod four times, completed the race 16 times
and won numerous other sled dog races.
As
soon as you get off the bus they give you a puppy to hold. Huskies are
known for their energy although they are not as big as I expected, thy
only weigh 50 to 60 lbs.

Alaskan huskies look more like wolves, some have blue eyes but they can be all black, white or anything in between.
In still pictures these guys look like they're fighting but are actually just play fighting like most dogs do.
Some of the many trophy and awards Jeff has won from dog sled races all over world.
Jeff is originally from southern California and is .
The difference between horns and antlers are that horns are permanent and antlers drop off and grow back every year.
Caribou antlers weigh as much as 30 lbs each. Imagine carrying 60 lbs on your head?
This is the outfit Jeff wares in the 1,100 Iditarod.
Jeff
invented this seat also used to heat water which some of the other
mushers adopted. Some have labeled it the Iditarod Barcalounger It helps
him to get more rested, it work so well he fell asleep and fell the
sled, which prompted him to add a seat belt. He noted that when you fall
off, the dogs don't stop! And that's a big problem.
